Venue Changed for Etoile FC - Gombak United Singapore Cup Clash (20 August 2011)

Etoile FC's home tie in the Singapore Cup against Gombak United has been changed to the neutral venue of Jalan Besar Stadium on 20th August 2011. This is due to the Presidential Election.

This means that Etoile FC would not have 'home' advantage in the 2-legged tie. What runs in the mind of the planning committee remains unknown. Amazingly, Jurong West Stadium would not be affected and despite the Queenstown Stadium being complained by many to be 'shoddy' and 'rundown', it is good enough for Presidential hopefuls to stage rallies. So, perhaps, fans should embed this fact the next time they attend a "Home" game for Etoile FC that the stadium is good enough for President, so there should not be any complaints.

The Singapore Cup had been notorious for its dubious "Home" and "Away" rulings, which robs team off their home ground advantage due to external reasons like "Live" telecast, and now Presidential Election.

The following fixtures are changed:

20 August 2011: Etoile FC vs Gombak United - Singapore Cup originally at Queenstown Stadium, now changed to Jalan Besar Stadium;
27 August 2011: Gombak United vs Etoile FC - S-League game now postponed to 04 November 2011;

01 September 2011: Etoile FC vs Geylang United - S-League game now postponed to 10 October 2011;
07 September 2011: Albirex Niigata (S) vs Etoile FC - S-League game now postponed to 25 November 2011 and venue changed to Jalan Besar Stadium;

03 October 2011: Woodlands vs Etoile Fc - S-League game now postponed to 04 October 2011;
10 October 2011: Etoile FC vs Albirex Niigata (S) - S-League game now pushed forward to 7 September 2011;
25 October 2011: Etoile FC vs Young Lions - S-League game now postponed to 28 November 2011
*venue not changed unless specified

Please take note of these dubious changes, fellow Ultras.

And despite these changes, the Ultras would still be turning up to support the Stars.

Allez Etoile, Forza Ultras.
