Game against White Swans to be Postponed

Dear Etoile FC Fans,

It is with regret and sadness that we have to post this on our blog:

The S-League Committee had decided to postpone the following game due to the incident that happened on 23rd May 2011:

Match No.91: Etoile FC vs Albirex Niigata FC (Singapore) at Queenstown Stadium (originally scheduled for 26 May 2011)

Match No.93: Courts Young Lions vs Hougang United at Jalan Besar Stadium (originally scheduled for 28 May 2011)

Match No.115: SAFFC vs Hougang United at Choa Chu Kang Stadium (originally scheduled for 1 June 2011)

This is to allow the Disciplinary Committee to conduct investigation to the incident, as well as to prepare the players found to be involved in a hearing slated for the 3rd June 2011.

While the incident is unfortunate, we hope that the Disciplinary Committee do conduct a fair, thorough and just investigation to this matter. ANY players (Etoile FC or Hougang United FC) found to be involved in this brawl, as well as ANY managment staff (Etoile FC or Hougang United FC) should be severely dealt with. This should also include a hefty fine as well a lengthy suspension.

We wish the players who were reportedly taken to hospital - both Etoile FC and Hougang United FC - due to the incident a speedy recovery.

We will update the new dates for the postponed game as soon as we have news of the said.
