Cubs to Face Stern Test in Etoile FC

S-League action resumes for Etoile FC and the Ultras as the Courts Young Lions visits the Queenstown Stadium for a shot at 3 points against the reigning Champions.

Fresh from having 5 points deducted after the conclusion of the Disciplinary Committee regarding the Etoile FC - Hougang United fracas, the Stars would be looking to seek 'lost points' as they have to get maximum points in their games in hand to ensure that they stay 3 points behind current league leaders Tampines Rovers. They would have to do it without Serge Souchon though, as the Central Africa Republic international is suspended.

However, things do not look all that bad for the Stars, having played and won the Jaguars by 2-nil despite not playing a single competitive football for over 2 weeks. The fact that Jonathan Toto was still sharp in front of the goal, netting both goals, proved that "form is temporary and class is permanent".

The Cubs would have their work cut out for them having lost their most recent game to a 89th minute scramble by Arisman Asman. The suspension of Eugene Luo, having been sent off in the previous game, would also means that Robin Chitrakar would have to make a change. However, the return of Khairul Nizam to the squad would give the Cubs more attacking bite.

The Stars would definitely fancy their chances for this game, and a clean sheet, if they stick to Arena's game plan and not get distracted by on-field antics.

Our Prediction: Etoile 3 Courts Young Lions 0
